Throwback Thursday Florida! #PTE

So today I am going to combine my Throwback Thursday blog posts with my new Web Series 'Places To Explore'. This week I am going to talk to you about America and in particular the state of Florida. A few years ago I was lucky enough to be able to travel to the other side of the world to explore Florida. It was one of the best experiences of my life so far and I thought what better way to re-visit these memories then to share some of them with you

Florida was an incredible part of the world to visit and definitely one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to. I think if you ever get the chance to go somewhere like this then you should because it will teach you so much about the world and what is out there. I think you should travel when and where you can, it doesn't have to be far, you can find beauty in any place, we just tend to appreciate places we are not so familiar with but there is so much beauty out there in the world to see.

Monthly Favourites | July 2014

It's that time again where I share with you what I am loving this month, so here are my July Favourites.

Netflix

Firstly is Netflix, when ever I have time to relax and have some "me" time, with the goings on of life and work, I tend to go onto Netflix. I have currently found myself a little addicted to the series 'Orange Is The New Black' and I have just finished Season 1, about to start Season 2 of the series.

I particularly like the way the series plays between the lives of each character so you learn more about each of them. In each episode of the series, it flicks between the past and present, and I think this is a really cool concept to watch and a great way to show what happened and how they got where they are to what they are up to now.

In fact this month Orange Is The New Black has been nominated for 12 Emmy Nomations which I think speaks for itself! Also on Netflix, I have been loving Adventure Time, as a designer animation styles interest me, so the Anime section on Netflix is bound to be used a lot more over the next coming months.

Summer

This month, lets be honest who isn't loving Summer, especially with the weather we have been getting here in the UK at the moment! As I write this it has been very hot here in the UK for the last two weeks and having personally had a Summer Break, I was refreshed to come back and get stuck into blogging, designing, and creating content. I have been filming for a number of different things and have a lot of new idea's and projects to share with you in the next month. Summer for me is a great time, to spend with family and enjoy life as everyone breaks up from work and school for a small time period.

London

My City, I have said it before and I will say it again, there is NOTHING like London in the Summer, I just love this place. The fact I am able to travel and see such a beautiful place often, is pretty special. For those who maybe don't get to visit London, or haven't been yet I have taken a few pictures to share with you here! Please go ahead and follow me on Instagram for more of my adventures in pictures and what I get up to as I am using it a lot more now.

Wedding Tips - Guest Post!

Hey everyone,

So today, I bring you another Guest Post. This time about Weddings and tips you could use if you are getting married or someone you know is getting married, as my half sister is getting married this September, I am thinking what am I going to wear?

The bride and groom and what they are wearing is always going to be a hot topic of conversation at any wedding, but you won't go unnoticed in the fashion stakes either that's for sure. You don't want to draw unnecessary attention to yourself with a poor choice of outfit, but equally you want to do yourself proud on this special day, so what should you be looking for?

First of all, makes sure you speak to the bride in particular about any colour scheme she might want you to coordinate with or avoid dressing in. You don't want to arrive in a shocking lime green number when her theme is a dusky pink as you'll stick out like a sore thumb.

You do want to make sure the colour you choose to wear compliments not only the colour theme of the wedding, but also your skin tone and hair colour. If you have a yellow or orange tinge to your skin you'll suit warm tones like gold, deep greens, reds, oranges and browns. If you have a pink or blue tinge to your skin, you suit cool tones and should choose from colours like white, black, silver, lemon, ruby red, sapphire blue and pastel shades. The same goes for make up. Warm skin tones should stick with golds, browns, greens and pinks on the eyes, while their cooler counterparts should wear blues, greys, pinks, silver and plums. The same goes for lips. Experiment with the colours that work with your skin tone and work that into your make up for the day. Perhaps even have a practice run if you're doing your own make up to feel confident in your look on the big day.

As for your hair, make sure you have it cut and coloured at least two weeks beforehand to ensure it's just how you like it and at minimal risk of regrowth. If you're having your hair styled on the day, have a trial run with the hairdresser to make sure he or she gets your hair just as you'd imagined it for the big day.

In terms of what to wear, you can't go wrong with a simple yet beautiful dress, or perhaps skirts and pretty tops are more your style? George's range of skirts offers the perfect base from which to build your wedding day attire. With pretty pastels, embroidery, netting, florals and panelling, you're sure to find a special something that is both beautiful and flattering. Of course the tone of the wedding will shape your decision on what to wear. If it's a formal wedding you might want to add a jacket to your outfit, or if it's black tie, you might want to consider a cocktail dress. Another good reason to discuss outfits with the bride well in advance.

Lastly, start shopping for your outfit well ahead of time. You don't want to be hunting for that perfect outfit with just a week to go before the wedding. That’s a sure recipe for wedding stress.

See you Saturday!

Places To Explore | The City Of Bath

Today I am proud to announce my new web series 'Places To Explore'. I wanted to create another Web Series where I could share the wonders of the world and places I enjoy going to with you! I think sometimes we get use to where we live and we don't always appreciate it as much as we should. When I go away to other places, I often find that I realise how lucky I am to live in the beautiful city of London.

'Places To Explore' is a Web Series that will enable me to not only share my favourite places but to allow me to be a little more spontaneous and explore places that I haven't yet been!

But for this #PTE episode I am actually going to show you another City that I visited last weekend! The City Of Bath and the beautiful quiet town of 'Cheddar'. I visited the Roman Baths and Cheddar Gorge, I particularly enjoyed this trip to the countryside and the insight into the way other people live and their different lifestyle's compared to mine.

Here are some pictures from my trip to the City Of Bath and surrounding areas.

A Career Update | LILCDESIGNS

Hey everyone,

So today, I am bringing you another Career Update as it has been a while! Last month, I worked on a number of very exciting projects and one of those was an e-commerce website for clothing line 'Rolling Red'.

This was my first e-commerce website and I was very excited to jump right in. During the last few months of my career I have wanted to expand into web designing and with projects like this and other websites I am working on, I have been lucky enough to do this. Web design is something that I really enjoy the process of, it allows me to create a whole branding experience for a company or client.

With the 'Rolling Red' project, it has enabled me to further develop my skills and learn a lot more about the technical aspects of web design. I learnt more about e-commerce, coding and HTML.

You can check out the website here http://www.rollingred.co.uk - I am excited to see the future of this company, they have a lot of exciting plans and products to come, as well as the great products they already sell!

Live life and chase your dreams.
See you next Saturday!
